Save as: 

The file if we want as before without changes, we will use save as.
place command: by using this command, we can bring the matter or graphic from another file to present working file.
eg: we also can bring the another in ms word into page maker.

to place:
click on file file menu is displayed, in the file menu, click on place place command dialogue box is displayed, 
select the file name and click on open 
if the file that we selected is in page maker , a dialogue  box is displayed.

click on select all and click on OK. the mouse pointer changes to move the pointer where the matter should be placed, and then click on that place to copy the matter.

if it is graphic file, select place command , select graphic file, click on open. the mouse point change to move the mouse pointer where we want to keep the graphic and click on that place

acquire command: before using this command, we have to install the scanner software that we are using.
while we are making the documents, if we want photos, figures, we will scan them with scanner and we will place them by using acquire command.

to select acquire: click on file file menu displayed from file menu select acquire. acquire consists of two options, select save command we have to select the scanner name click on OK.

ti acquire image: file acquire acquire image click on OK;

export command: by using this command, we can save the page maker matter in other files and so that we cause the matter in other applications also beside in page maker.
we can also export on refile or some part of matter in the document, and graphic  also .

link manger: this is used  to check the links. the matter that was used in page maker brought from other applications and placing the graphics and using them , this will check the links of that concerned files.

document setup: by using this command we can set up hte document by we can set all, size, direction, no of pages etc. 

exit command: this command will be used to come out from page maker.

to change the default measurement system: ie int inches, decimals, ocas, ciceros) click on file file menu is displayed from file menu select on preferences click on general.

'preferences dialogue box is displayed.

choose the option from measurements in pop up menu choose a measurement from vertical ruler pop-up menu click in OK.
